Breaking Waves Summer Intensive and Competition Team Auditions
Join us for our annual competition team summer intensive and auditions! Monday thru Friday will include technique, skill demonstrations and choreography. Auditions will be on Friday, June 13th from 9:00-Noon. Anyone wishing to audition for a solo will have the opportunity on Friday from 12:00-1:00pm. Results will be announced later in the day on Friday! (There will be a brief mandatory parent meeting at drop off on Monday.) Summer Open Classes
Join us on Wednesdays in July (9th, 16th, and 23rd) for Open Classes. This is targeted to 6th Grade-Adults! The Wednesday schedule will be as follows:
1:00-2:30 - Ballet/Lyrical 2:30-3:15 - Tap 3:15-4:15 - Musical Theatre/Jazz

Bark in the Park: A Big Blue Adventure
It’s time to emBARK on a ju-BLUE-ant adventure with your favorite pup pals! Step into Big Blue Adventure Park, where dancers jump, spin, and groove through a world of imaginative play and dance, earning carnival tickets for every barkworthy game and dance challenge. Once they’ve collected enough tickets, they’ll celebrate in the Big Blue PAWformance Parade - a high-energy showcase of their new moves! This fun-filled ballet, tap and creative movement camp is PAWfect for Bluey fans and features PAWsome dance moves along with PAWsitive lessons in kindness, teamwork and sharing. Get ready for a BLUEtiful time of non-stop fun, laughs and friendship! Recommended ages 3-6 years. 9:00-12:00pm each day. All camp participants should bring a water bottle and a light finger-food snack each day. Cost is $125/person.
Tumbling/ACRO Camp
Join us for a fun 4-day tumbling and ACRO camp! The camp will be Monday thru Thursday from 5:00-7:00pm. Each day of camp will have a different theme and everyday involves improving tumbling/ACRO skills!

Wednesday: Tea Party and Manners Day
Thursday: Dance and Tumble Day

Pink Bubbles & Emerald Energy: A Wickedly Good Time
This camp will defy all expectations of fun with pink bubbles, emerald energy and spellbinding surprises that are sure to be POPULAR for any Wicked fan! Get ready for a spirited adventure filled with friendship, teamwork and dance, all leading to a magical finale at the Pink Bubbles & Emerald Energy Musical Revue! But, before they can shine on stage, dancers will attend W.I.C.K.E.D University (The Wow Institute & College of Kooky Eccentric Design), where they’ll team up to earn enchanting badges for the Besties Bubble Book. Through captivating dance challenges and Oz-some craft creations, this jazz and hip hop camp with a musical theatre twist will cast a Wickedly Good spell of creativity, sprinkled with the magic of friendship! Recommended ages is rising K-5th graders. 9:00-1:00pm each day. All participants should bring a water bottle and a light finger lunch each day! Cost is $180/person.
SeaSide Summer Intensive
Please join Ms. Haley for SeaSide’s Technique Summer Intensive! This is recommended for rising 6th Graders -graduating 12th graders. The schedule for the intensive will be as follows:
9:00-10:45am - Ballet 10:45-11:45 - Jazz
We will break for lunch from 11:45-12:15pm.
12:15-1:00 - Musical Theater 1:00-2:00 - Lyrical
We will have a 15 minute break from 2:00-2:15pm.
2:15-3:00 - Tap
All participants are encouraged to sign up for the entire day. However, dancers who do not tap may leave at 2:00pm.
Intensive is 9:00-3:00pm daily, Monday-Friday. Contact the studio if you have any questions.

FemmeFire
FemmeFire is a dance party workout created to embrace feminine energy, shake off negativity and get down to some funky music! You're invited to sweat, smile and find your freedom in Femme Fire! Join us February 14 at Noon for this fun, energetic, full-body workout! $20/person. Remaining classes will be on March 14, April 11 and May 9. Excerpts from The Nutcracker
Join SeaSide Dance as they present excerpts from the timeless ballet in which main characters dance the classical choreography! Two shows presented on December 13 - 6:00pm and 7:30pm and two additional shows December 14 - 5:30pm and 7:00pm. Tickets are $10/person. Enjoy the performances that are presented by our Homeschool and Competition Team Dancers, while enjoying some special treats from our “Land of Sweets” table. Contact the studio for more information! Oak Island's Halloween Spooktacular
Join the town of Oak Island for its Spooktacular celebration at the Middleton Park Complex with a free outdoor concert, carnival games, monster march parade, Trick-or-Treat, costume contest, and fall market. Local food vendors will be on site. This is a dog-friendly event. The Fall Market will operate from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The concert and activities will begin at 6:00 PM and run until 8:00 PM. SeaSide Dance THRILLER participants will need to arrive at Middleton Park at the SeaSide Dance Carnival Booth NO LATER than 5:20pm. We will run through the dance one time before we perform at 5:50pm before THE CRUISE BROTHERS band begins at 6:00pm. Costumes encouraged for all THRILLER participants! This event is FREE to the public!
Halloween Party ~ Parent's Night Out
Drop your kids off for a fun Halloween event at SeaSide Dance! Children may wear their Halloween costumes for a fun-filled night of games, prizes, tumbling skills and a professional photo session with a Fall/Halloween inspired backdrop! THRILLER Workshop with Ms. Ally and Ms. Kelly
SeaSide Dance has been asked to return to OKI’s Halloween Spooktacular again this year and perform THRILLER just before the band begins at 6:00pm. Therefore, we will be hosting a 2 hour workshop to learn the ORIGINAL THRILLER choreography on October 12 from 11:00-1:00pm. Ms. Ally and Ms. Kelly will teach the original choreography that was taught in 2023 by Marcel Lane, featured dancer in the original THRILLER video. This event is open to the public and we welcome children and adults for this fun event! We will learn the choreography on 10/12 and then perform as a large group on October 26 at OKI’s Halloween Spooktacular at Middleton Park. Register online today! In My Sparkle Era
Drop everything now because this iconic dance camp is SPARKLING! If you love to dance, sing (karaoke) and perform with your dance besties, you will have a blast shaking it off as you launch into an era of fearless fun and fame! The glitter and glam will be off the charts, and your jazz and hip hop dancing will never go out of style! Are you ready for it? Baby, just say yes to this bejeweled summer fun, and get ready to make the whole place shimmer! This camp is for rising Elementary Grades 1-5. Camp is Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-1:00pm. Campers will need to bring a light finger-food lunch and WATER bottles each day. Price includes crafts, dance instruction, games, a show for parents/guardians and a t-shirt. $175
Parent's Night Out - Tea Party
Enjoy a Parent’s Night Out while SeaSide Dance enjoys a night in with the kids! This month’s PNO is Tea Party themed and will included dinner/dessert/drink for your child. We will learn about table manners, enjoy fun games and crafts. Event space is limited and open to the public. $50/child

What do you get when you mix a sweet & sassy sleepover with a dreamy dance party? PINK PAJAMA PARTY: Dancing in My Dreams! Grab your pinkest PJs and your dreamiest doll for this dazzling jazz, hip hop and ballet dance camp. From delightful games and glittery crafts to enchanted dreams and pinktastic parties, tiny dancers will make magical memories with their fancy friends doing allllll things slumber party! If your dancer loves Barbie, this will be the dance camp of their dreams! (This camp is for preschoolers aged 3-6). Space is limited! Register soon! Camp hours are Monday - Thursday from 9:00am-NOON. "Grounded Kids Yoga" Camp
Join us for a week of Grounded Kids Yoga! A revolutionary program designed to harness the ancient wisdom of Yoga and teach it in a progressive framework that empowers children and teens to elevate to their highest self. Established in 2007 with groundbreaking methodology, Grounded Kids is recognized worldwide as a leader in the field. Using the principles and practices found in Hatha and Kundalini yoga, we balance the serious benefits of yoga and meditation with a lighthearted approach and playful spirit. Camp will include yoga instruction and crafts! Ages 7-12. Camp will be 9:00-NOON each day! Bring a light snack to enjoy during a short break. $165/week.
Breaking Waves - Summer Intensive & Company Auditions
Looking to hone dance skills over the summer? Want to keep dance training over the summer? Interested in joining our award-winning competition and performance team? This week is for you! We invite our current and new dance families for our 2nd annual summer intensive - Breaking Waves. We will work on new skills, leaps & turns, timing/musicality, and learn new choreography. Auditions for the competition/performance team will be held on the last day of the intensive.

SeaSide is excited to continue our Ballet classes through the summer for ALL ages! Classes will not be held during the week of July 4th.) All classes will be held on WEDNESDAY throughout the summer. (For summer Ballet classes - please register based on the age of your dancer as of September 1, 2024.) You do NOT have to register for the entire summer. You may only register for a particular month. Please note that on the registration form. These are not “camp” classes - they are technique-based Ballet classes. Dress code applies (leotards/tights/ballet shoes and hair secured in a bun).

Keep the little ones entertained in a MINI & ME Creative Movement Class! Parent/Guardian will assist with their dancer during this 45 minute interactive creative movement class! Classes will run during the month of June and July, with no class on Tuesday, July 2! 45/minutes per week $65/month.
Beginning ACRO Clinics

Rising Tide 2024 Spring Showcase
Our 2nd Annual Spring Showcase will be held on Sunday, May 19 beginning at 1:45pm. The showcase will again be held at Generations in the Main Auditorium. Tickets are now on sale! BARRE BOOTCAMP - Taught by Ms, Kelly: Stretch, tone and get ready for swimsuit season! Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 16-May 14! Tap Master Class
Event is open to the public! Master Class in Tap taught by former Radio City Rockette - Tina Leak. Join us for the incredible opportunity at SeaSide Dance. Class will begin at 10am and end at noon. Tina Leak began her show business career as a Radio City Music Hall Rockette and completed that career as a backup dancer for PINK. She has performed across the entire US and in 14 countries. She has worked with a large number of notable people during her career. Her choreography experience spans competition dance, musical theatre, television, cruise ships and Super Bowl XXXII Halftime Show.
Nutcracker Story Ballet ~ Parent’s Night Out Event
Community Event - Join your child for an entertaining evening from 5:30-7:00pm OR drop your children off at SeaSide Dance for an evening of Nutcracker Story Ballet while you begin holiday baking, enjoy dinner or wrap up Christmas shopping from 7:00-8:30pm! This event is a telling of The Nutcracker in which lead characters come to life and dance the timeless ballet to Tchaikovsky’s most famous score. Parents & children will enjoy light refreshments and decorate their own ornaments while they watch the show. They will meet Clara and her nutcracker, the Sugar Plum Fairy and a host of other characters from the Land of the Sweets. They will also join in a dance for the grand finale and take a photo with their favorite dancer! Event is expected to sell out - so register early! Parent/Child event is $25 for parent/child and $10 each additional sibling. Parent’s Night Out Event is $25/child.
Oak Island's HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR
Join us for OKI’s Halloween Spooktacular! Those who participated in our THRILLER Master Class will perform LIVE (TIME: 5:45pm). Then, join us at our booth for a fun game of Cornhole with prizes! This is a fantastic fun, family & community event! Don’t miss it! Dress up in your favorite costumes and join in for an evening of Fall fun!
40th Anniversary of THRILLER - Marcea Lane Master Class
Marcea Lane, featured dancer in the original Michael Jackson THRILLER video, will be coming to Southport to teach the original choreography! This Master Class will be held at Middleton Park on Oak Island from 10:00am-Noon. $40 per person. Open to SeaSide Dance students, as well as the general public. Recommended ages 5 thru Adult! All those who participate in the Master Class will be invited to perform the 8-minute dance at OKI’s Halloween Spooktacular at Middleton Park on October 28. Feel free to dress the part! Try Another Class Week
This week we invite all registered dancers to try any other class for their age for FREE! This will give dancers the opportunity to explore other styles of dance and help to ensure they are enrolled in the genre of dance that best suites their interest.
Open House
Join us for our “Back to Dance” Open House! We are so excited for our 2nd Season. Classes begin September 5. At Open House, dancers will be able to register for classes, order new shoes for the upcoming season, order Leotards & other merchandise and register for prizes! New dancers to SeaSide will be able to meet some of our staff that will be in attendance, as well as tour the studio. We can’t wait to dance with you!
Magical Mermaids & Shimmering Swans
Tiny ballerinas will dance and leap across the lily pad lagoon as mer-magical mermaids and shimmering swans in this sparkling summer camp. Dancers will focus on ballet basics and creative movement, as well as fancy, fun and imaginative activities and fin-tastic feathery crafts.
