Rising Tide 2024 Spring Showcase
Our 2nd Annual Spring Showcase will be held on Sunday, May 19 beginning at 1:45pm. The showcase will again be held at Generations in the Main Auditorium. Tickets are now on sale! They are $12 (+tax) thru March 28. They may be purchased at the lobby desk during regular studio hours. For those coming in from out of town - tickets may be purchased over the phone and can be picked up the day of show at Will Call. SeaSide is excited to continue our Ballet classes through the summer for ALL ages! Classes will not be held during the week of July 4th.) All classes will be held on WEDNESDAY throughout the summer. (For summer Ballet classes - please register based on the age of your dancer as of September 1, 2024.) You do NOT have to register for the entire summer. You may only register for a particular month. Please note that on the registration form. These are not “camp” classes - they are technique-based Ballet classes. Dress code applies (leotards/tights/ballet shoes and hair secured in a bun).

Breaking Waves - Summer Intensive & Company Auditions
Looking to hone dance skills over the summer? Want to keep dance training over the summer? Interested in joining our award-winning competition and performance team? This week is for you! We invite our current and new dance families for our 2nd annual summer intensive - Breaking Waves. We will work on new skills, leaps & turns, timing/musicality, and learn new choreography. Auditions for the competition/performance team will be held on the last day of the intensive.

"Grounded Kids Yoga" Camp
Join us for a week of Grounded Kids Yoga! A revolutionary program designed to harness the ancient wisdom of Yoga and teach it in a progressive framework that empowers children and teens to elevate to their highest self. Established in 2007 with groundbreaking methodology, Grounded Kids is recognized worldwide as a leader in the field. Using the principles and practices found in Hatha and Kundalini yoga, we balance the serious benefits of yoga and meditation with a lighthearted approach and playful spirit. Camp will include yoga instruction and crafts! Ages 7-12. Camp will be 9:00-NOON each day! Bring a light snack to enjoy during a short break. $165/week.
PARENT'S NIGHT OUT - FUN FRIDAY
Enjoy a Parent’s Night Out and let SeaSide Dance take the kids for a FUN FRIDAY! This event is open to the public! Space is limited, so reserve your child’s spot today! Drop off at 6:00pm and pick up by 8:00pm. We will dance, tumble and enjoy fun games! Event includes dinner/dessert/drink for your child. $45/child
Pink Pajama Party
What do you get when you mix a sweet & sassy sleepover with a dreamy dance party? PINK PAJAMA PARTY: Dancing in My Dreams! Grab your pinkest PJs and your dreamiest doll for this dazzling jazz, hip hop and ballet dance camp. From delightful games and glittery crafts to enchanted dreams and pinktastic parties, tiny dancers will make magical memories with their fancy friends doing allllll things slumber party! If your dancer loves Barbie, this will be the dance camp of their dreams! (This camp is for preschoolers aged 3-6). Space is limited! Register soon! Camp hours are Monday - Thursday from 9:00am-NOON. Dancers will need to bring a light finger-food snack and WATER only to the studio. $130 for the week (includes crafts, dance instruction, games, a t-shirt and a show on the last day for parents/guardians. Parent's Night Out - Tea Party
Enjoy a Parent’s Night Out while SeaSide Dance enjoys a night in with the kids! This month’s PNO is Tea Party themed and will included dinner/dessert/drink for your child. We will learn about table manners, enjoy fun games and crafts. Event space is limited and open to the public. $50/child
In My Sparkle Era
Drop everything now because this iconic dance camp is SPARKLING! If you love to dance, sing (karaoke) and perform with your dance besties, you will have a blast shaking it off as you launch into an era of fearless fun and fame! The glitter and glam will be off the charts, and your jazz and hip hop dancing will never go out of style! Are you ready for it? Baby, just say yes to this bejeweled summer fun, and get ready to make the whole place shimmer! This camp is for rising Elementary Grades 1-5. Camp is Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-1:00pm. Campers will need to bring a light finger-food lunch and WATER bottles each day. Price includes crafts, dance instruction, games, a show for parents/guardians and a t-shirt. $175
Christmas in July
We are excited to be working with other local studios in the area to bring a new show to Brunswick County in November ~ The Christmas Spectacular! The cost per dancer will be a flat rate of $200 and includes everything associated with the show - choreography camp, props, costumes, Spectacular sweatshirt and other costs associated with the event, including dress rehearsal (November 10), evening show (November 15) and matinee performance (November 16). Dress rehearsal and performances will be at Odell Williamson Auditorium. Our part of the Spectacular will be scenes brought to life from the holiday classic - ELF. Ms. Ally will also be choreographing a "Rockettes-style” kick line for the finale!
This is a shared benefit show for scholarship sponsorship for one lucky senior at each participating studio. Since this is a scholarship event and not for profit - admission to the performance(s) will be by donation only!

BARRE BOOTCAMP - Taught by Ms, Kelly: Stretch, tone and get ready for swimsuit season! Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 16-May 14! Classes begin at 10:45am and last approximately 50 minutes. $100 for the entire month! Register today under the WORKSHOP section at the bottom of the registration page! SeaSide Dance is excited to be a vendor at the Coastal Health, Fitness & Beauty Showcase that is sponsored by the Southport - Oak Island Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held at the St. James Community Center! Please stop by to see us! Admission is FREE!
Tap Master Class
Event is open to the public! Master Class in Tap taught by former Radio City Rockette - Tina Leak. Join us for the incredible opportunity at SeaSide Dance. Class will begin at 10am and end at noon. Register online or by calling the studio at 910-931-0517 during regular business hours. $40 - Ages 16+. Tina Leak began her show business career as a Radio City Music Hall Rockette and completed that career as a backup dancer for PINK. She has performed across the entire US and in 14 countries. She has worked with a large number of notable people during her career. Her choreography experience spans competition dance, musical theatre, television, cruise ships and Super Bowl XXXII Halftime Show.
Nutcracker Story Ballet ~ Parent’s Night Out Event
Community Event - Join your child for an entertaining evening from 5:30-7:00pm OR drop your children off at SeaSide Dance for an evening of Nutcracker Story Ballet while you begin holiday baking, enjoy dinner or wrap up Christmas shopping from 7:00-8:30pm! This event is a telling of The Nutcracker in which lead characters come to life and dance the timeless ballet to Tchaikovsky’s most famous score. Parents & children will enjoy light refreshments and decorate their own ornaments while they watch the show. They will meet Clara and her nutcracker, the Sugar Plum Fairy and a host of other characters from the Land of the Sweets. They will also join in a dance for the grand finale and take a photo with their favorite dancer! Event is expected to sell out - so register early! Parent/Child event is $25 for parent/child and $10 each additional sibling. Parent’s Night Out Event is $25/child.
Oak Island's HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR
Join us for OKI’s Halloween Spooktacular! Those who participated in our THRILLER Master Class will perform LIVE (TIME: 5:45pm). Then, join us at our booth for a fun game of Cornhole with prizes! This is a fantastic fun, family & community event! Don’t miss it! Dress up in your favorite costumes and join in for an evening of Fall fun!
40th Anniversary of THRILLER - Marcea Lane Master Class
Marcea Lane, featured dancer in the original Michael Jackson THRILLER video, will be coming to Southport to teach the original choreography! This Master Class will be held at Middleton Park on Oak Island from 10:00am-Noon. $40 per person. Open to SeaSide Dance students, as well as the general public. Recommended ages 5 thru Adult! All those who participate in the Master Class will be invited to perform the 8-minute dance at OKI’s Halloween Spooktacular at Middleton Park on October 28. Feel free to dress the part! Try Another Class Week
This week we invite all registered dancers to try any other class for their age for FREE! This will give dancers the opportunity to explore other styles of dance and help to ensure they are enrolled in the genre of dance that best suites their interest.
Open House
Join us for our “Back to Dance” Open House! We are so excited for our 2nd Season. Classes begin September 5. At Open House, dancers will be able to register for classes, order new shoes for the upcoming season, order Leotards & other merchandise and register for prizes! New dancers to SeaSide will be able to meet some of our staff that will be in attendance, as well as tour the studio. We can’t wait to dance with you!
Magical Mermaids & Shimmering Swans
Tiny ballerinas will dance and leap across the lily pad lagoon as mer-magical mermaids and shimmering swans in this sparkling summer camp. Dancers will focus on ballet basics and creative movement, as well as fancy, fun and imaginative activities and fin-tastic feathery crafts.

Donut Spytacular
DONUT PANIC! Someone has stolen the donuts, and it’s up to your dancers to debunk this deliciously devious mystery. Your team of dancing detectives will uncover clues through their super sleuthy jazz moves and funny fresh hip hop grooves as they discover whodunit! Dancers fill their spy kit with sprinkle-tastic spy tools as they prepare to uncover the Donut Bandit at their final performance!

Summer Workshops - Please join us for some specialized training over the summer! We have the remaining Summer Workshop. These classes are open to current and future students of SeaSide, as well as the public! (Additional workshops and/or master classes may be added!)
July 19, 26, Aug 2, 9, 16, 23: Adult Ballet & Tap Workshop with additional Hot Honey Rag Musical Theatre add-on - Ages 18+ $40 for the combo class or $15 for Ballet (1:30pm-2:15pm) only or Tap (2:15pm-3:00pm) only; Hot Honey Rag add-on will be from 3:00pm-3:30pm (Musical Theatre add-on with ONE genre of dance is $20). Prices are per session that is attended.
Sharktacular Shenanigans
Where do sharks go on vacation? Fin-land! But, for summer dance camp baby sharks go to Sharktacular Shenanigans! Dive into summer on a jaw~some jaunt where tiny dancers will groove their way under the sea in a tap, hip hop and creative movement camp. They’ll discover a legendary shipwreck holding a bejeweled hidden treasure chest. Their underwater friends will help them search for prized treasure, and in addition to dancing, they’ll create a little fun and mischief along the way! Stella the Stellar Starfish will guide them through the sandy ship with her jellyfish friends to Pearl’s “Clam”orous Palazzo Party and Eel-ectric Eel-i’s fun 80’s Neon Party. And, who knows ~ at the end of the camp, maybe these fantastic friends will lead them to a glistening treasure! Your baby shark will have fun up to the gills with dancing, antics, fun crafts and more on this sharktacular adventure!

Movie Magic
Cue the paparazzi and get ready to shine like a star in Marquee Mix-Up: Movie Magic! Dancers will explore the magic of our favorite movie musicals: The Greatest Showman, Newsies, Grease, Mary Poppins, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory while learning musical theatre, jazz and hip hop. Your dancing movie star will create their own sets and props to prepare for their “red carpet” premiere and showcase a fabulous performance from each of these movie musicals. Dancers will also shine on the big screen when they star in their very own mini-movie featuring their magical dance moves.

Matilda: Musical Theatre Dance Camp
MATILDA: A Musical Theatre Dance Camp
Grades 1-5
Monday-Friday (June 12-16) 9:00am-1:00pm
Explore the world of Musical Theatre in this fun and exciting dance camp that dives into Roald Dahl’s MATILDA, The Musical. Join us for a whimsical, high energy musical theatre dance camp featuring all of your favorite MATILDA characters. Learn songs and jazz dance technique, as well as create props for a mini showcase at the end of the week.
The First Wave (Spring Showcase)
Please join us for our 1st Annual Spring Showcase! Tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 1. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
Mom & Me Tea Party
We invite moms and their children to join us for a tea party. We will have finger foods and desserts to share, along with lemonade, water, and, of course, TEA! There will be photos of moms and their children, along with a small gift for each mom in attendance. Space is very limited - so please register early! We can’t wait to celebrate all the moms during this special time. $25 for mom and child; additional children are $10 each. Event will be held at the studio and is open to the public.
SPRING BREAK

EGGstravaganza
To welcome Spring to SeaSide Dance - each dancer will receive ONE Easter egg that will contain candy or a prize! The draw of the egg will be completely random by each dancer! Prizes will include a FREE SSD T-shirt, discounts off of merchandise, $5 off May tuition, etc.!

Zumba
ZUMBA is coming! On Wednesday, January 11, 9:30 am come and try a SeaSide Dance Zumba class for only $10! If you enjoy the class - we would love to have you join us for our introductory special! 6 weeks of Zumba for $60! Classes will be taught by Shelley Higgens - a certified Zumba Gold instructor. The 6-week class will officially begin Wednesday, January 18 and end Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
Holiday Shopping Parents Day Out
The easiest way to get more done during the holidays! Finish up the last-minute Christmas shopping, get a jump on holiday baking or simply enjoy a parents day out while we provide a kid’s day in! Kids will enjoy pizza, snacks, viewing of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, themed Christmas photo shoot (including one digital image emailed to you), wooden craft (donated by Crabby’s Craft Shack) and learn a fun holiday dance combo - all in a fun and safe environment. Christmas By the Sea
SeaSide Dance is excited to participate in the 2022 Christmas By the Sea Parade on Oak Island. The parade showcases the businesses and organizations in our community. The hometown feel of the parade makes it a favorite event of locals, second homeowners and visitors. The Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Town of Oak Island have organized the Christmas By the Sea parade for over 35 years. Join us as we participate in this cherished holiday tradition! The parade begins at 2:00 pm on East Oak Island Drive in front of the Town Hall and makes it’s way east, ending at McGlamery Street.

Spooktacular
SeaSide Dance will join Oak Island’s Recreation Department on Saturday, October 29 from 6:00-8:00 pm. at Middleton Park (off of SE 46th Street). Enjoy a SPOOKY evening of fun for the entire family! This community event will also feature live entertainment and a community market highlighting a variety of local food & craft vendors - many of whom will offer a little trick-or-treating opportunity as well. Carnival games and trick-or-treating for ages 13 and under.
Toys for Tots
The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. SeaSide Dance is proud of partner with the U.S. Marine Corps by collecting new, unwrapped toys. We will be collecting these toys in studio from now until 6:00 PM on December 17, 2022. Please help us in supporting this mission by dropping of toys in the lobby of the studio.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Come and celebrate with us, along with the Oak Island/Southport Chamber of Commerce, at a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, as we launch SeaSide Dance! We are so excited for the kick-off of this great dance studio and training center for the arts.
